Axis and Radius 7340 E Indian Plz Scottsdale, AZ 85251 (480) 970-1112
Jazz, Latin, Disco, Electronica
Metallic sheen and minimalist decor give this nightspot the aura of a film set. The linked bi-level clubs complement each other in sound and energy. Dance-oriented Radius spins salsa, Latin, house and techno, while the more subdued and sophisticated Axis concentrates on a broad selection of sounds from the past three decades |

Club Freedom 919 East Apache Blvd Phoenix, AZ 85281 (480) 784-4444
Bar/Club
Formerly known as Pompeii, it's still the same spacious dance club catering to movers and shakers and those who like to check them out. The lounge area upstairs has a blue ultraviolet-lit bar surrounded by a cozy cluster of vinyl seating. The club is austerely decorated, with video screens and an ever-present disco ball. Although the club specializes in techno and rave-style music, Top-40 tunes are offered on Saturdays. |

Club Rio 430 N Scottsdale Rd Tempe, AZ 85281-2024 (480) 894-0533
Alternative Rock, Hard Rock & Heavy Metal, Hip-Hop & Rap, Rock & Pop
Club Rio, with its high white walls topped off by metal railings, looks like a stylish hacienda. Grassy expanses and plentiful palm trees offer a country-club feel, while the patio, filled with a large fountain, tiled bar counters and a parrot-toucan motif, has the trappings of a tropical resort. The vast interior of the club features several bars, pool tables, a food booth, DJ area and large dance floor |

NOYZ 4224 N Craftsman Ct Scottsdale, AZ 85251-3202 (480) 941-9333
Bar/Club
The mix of gray steel and black paint fail to differentiate this space from any other dimly lit dance club. Young hardbodies shake their stuff to the latest mixes on two dance floors in the multilevel complex. The three bars are staffed by experienced bartenders, but little imagination is put into mixing drinks. Despite priding themselves on offering a mix of gourmet appetizers and dinner plates, limited seating makes enjoying the menu a near impossibility. Numerous TVs on the main floor air sports before the club crowd rolls in and psychedelic images are broadcast once the music gets started. |
